Sydney's Hillsong & Kendrick Lamar Take Out Early Grammy Wins

The 2018 Grammys are in full swing and Aussies have already got their first gong with Hillsong Worship taking out a golden gramophone.

The collective took out Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song beating Casting Crowns, Natalie Grant, MercyMe and Tauren Wells.

They weren't the only Aussies celebrating, Sydney artist Jess Chalker's Say Hello appeared on Lisa Loeb's record Feel What U Feel which nabbed Best Children's Album.

Unfortunately, surprise Australian nominees Mansionair lost out Best Dance Recording to LCD Soundsystem’s Tonite.

While the big ones haven’t been revealed yet a couple of hot topic categories have been handed out with current reigning Hottest 100 champ Kendrick Lamar scoring both Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for HUMBLE.

Currently on tour in Australia, Foo Fighters might have lost out to Leonard Cohen for Best Rock Performance but they made it up by scooping Best Rock Song for Run.
