Sydney Musician Charged With Assault

He will appear in court next Monday.

Sydney musician and actor Jack Friels will appear in court next week following an alleged assault at a pub last year.

According to news.com.au, Friels, the son of famous Australian actors Judy Davis and Colin Friels, assaulted a man at a Stanmore venue on 27 July 2018, occasioning actual bodily harm.

Friels appeared in Newtown Local Court last November after being arrested and charged with assault and was later remanded on bail to appear in Burwood Local Court next Monday.

The 31-year-old previously served as vocalist and guitarist in Sydney-based outfit Underlights, which also featured current DMA'S members, Tommy O'Dell and Johnny Took.

The band regularly performed and also played at notable events like Homebake, BIGSOUND and Yours & Owls. Underlights released their debut self-titled EP in 2012.
