Sydney Laneway Festival Sells Out

The Sydney leg of the next year's Laneway Festival has now officially sold out, with the Melbourne event expected to follow suit very soon too.

It's been a big couple of week's for the Sydney instalment of the much-loved fest. Earlier this month, Leichhardt Council approved a plan to expand the event's capacity from 8,000 to 12,000 at its home of Sydney College Of The Arts at Callan Park.

Tickets to Melbourne Laneway are selling very fast and the remaining cities are also expected to sell out prior to the event.

And in news for Brisbane Laneway, the festival will run until midnight for the first time in history, meaning more time for punters to have an absolute ball.

CHVRCHES, Lorde, Haim, Jamie XX, Danny Brown, Parquet Courts and more are on the bill for the 2014 event. Here are those all important dates again:

Friday 31 January - RNA, Fortitude Valley
Saturday 1 February - Footscray Community Arts Centre & The River's Edge
Sunday 2 February - Sydney College Of The Arts
Friday 7 February - Harts Mill, Port Adelaide
Saturday 8 February - Esplanade Park And West End, Fremantle
