Supergroove Reforms For Queensland Tour
The New Zealand funk rock legends are playing three shows in the Sunshine State this May.

The New Zealand legends known as Supergroove are back - and they’re coming to Queensland. The funk rockers are hitting the Sunshine State this May for their highly anticipated Phenomenon reunion tour.
The tour is set to feature the original ‘95 lineup of the iconic group, as well as special guests Troy Kingi, Rubi Du and DJ King Kapisi. They’ll kick it off at The Station in the Sunshine Coast on May 16, before playing Brisbane’s Tivoli on May 17, and will finish up the tour at Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast on May 18.
Pre-sale opens at 10am AEST on February 20, while general tickets for the Phenomenon Tour go on sale at 10am local time next Monday, February 24, via Eccles.
This will mark the first time Supergroove has graced Australian shores in 20 years. Frontman Karl Steven wrote in a press release: “It's exciting to have the opportunity to bring this very special tour across the ditch ... it's also wonderful to play in Australia again; especially because the last time was behind chicken wire at Penrith Panthers' club in 1995!”
According to the press release, this tour is not to be missed, calling it a “special opportunity for fans to experience Supergroove on stage all night delivering their timeless hits.”
