RIP Tim 'Rawbiz' Williams

More Suicidal Tendencies More Suicidal Tendencies

US thrash legends Suicidal Tendencies have made a public announcement regarding the passing of their bassist, Tim "Rawbiz" Williams, via a post issued on Facebook this afternoon.

In the post, the band express their "complete sadness" at having to convey the news, detailing their affection for the man who had played bass with the iconic outfit for the past four years: "Tim was a monster on bass, running around on stage in the pit, giving his all, even when his body wasn't at its best."

Suicidal Tendencies, who are often singled out as "the godfathers of crossover thrash", were last in Australia in 2012, when they performed alongside stalwart American punks Unwritten Law and The Dudesons. Williams joined the band in 2011, following the departure of previous bassman Stephen Bruner. They released their ninth studio full-length, 13, last year, the sole recorded output on which Williams performed four-string bottom-end duties.
