Victoria’s Sugar Mountain Festival is returning to its roots in 2026, today announcing next year’s line-up as well as a new, CBD-based venue.
Next year’s festival has locked in a stacked line-up starring salute, Danilo Plessow (Motor City Drum Ensemble), Tiga, Pretty Girl [Live], Paula Tape, Baby G and Yikes.
For the first time since 2018, Sugar Mountain returns as a stand-alone event following successive festivals hosted in collaboration with Boiler Room. For its 2026 event, held on Saturday, 21 February, the beloved progressive EDM event will retain its signature 360-degree stage—a format pioneered in Australia following its launch in 2014.
With Sugar Mountain’s recent home at Williamstown’s Seaworks currently being renovated, Sugar Mountain will take next year’s event back to where it began: in Melbourne’s CBD.
The festival will relocate to The Paddock, which organisers described as “a mostly hidden oasis” that can be found between the Federation Square car park, Birrarung Marr and the adjacent train line.

Since its beginnings in 2011, Sugar Mountain has continuously evolved and experimented with its line-ups, locations, and vibes. It has been held at the Forum, the Victorian College of the Arts, and Seaworks in the CBD, adapting across venues while maintaining its unique feel.
From a multi-stage event to an immersive, 360-degree stage festival, Sugar Mountain has hosted artists as varied as Nas, Honey Dijon, Hot Chip, Folamour, Eris Drew, Octo Octa, and Kelela, to name a few.
Earlier this year, Sugar Mountain teamed up with Boiler Room to celebrate its tenth anniversary, with a two-day extravaganza that featured two entirely different line-ups.
