This January will see two of the biggest names in the Australian music scene celebrating their ten-year anniversary together, with Boiler Room and Sugar Mountain planning a huge two-day blow-out.

Taking place across the weekend of January 18 and 19th, the Boiler Room x Sugar Mountain 10 event will see the pairing celebrate with a two-day event featuring two entirely different line-ups.

According to organisers, each day will feature a distinct vibe and sound, with handpicked selectors uniting to set the tone for each day.

Currently, the full lineup for Boiler Room x Sugar Mountain 10 is still under wraps, though organisers have teased that it’s going to be a full-circle affair, with artists “who helped shape Sugar Mountain’s story” set to return to celebrate the festival’s roots.

The event will see a return to the industrial, waterside surrounds of Williamstown, with the historic Seaworks Maritime Precinct transformed into a two-day celebration of music and community.

The Boiler Room and Sugar Mountain partnership first began in 2015, with both events having launched separately in 2010. The partnership was described as being the “first of its kind for the southern hemisphere”, with the festival becoming the place to connect with the already-legendary Boiler Room on local shores.

Though separate from the Boiler Room stage that many Australian punters would have known about thanks to the Big Day Out, it’s since become one of the most recognised names in electronic music thanks to legendary sets from the likes of Fred Again.., Four Tet, Jamie xx, Kaytranada, and more.

With the collaboration initially beginning as a stage take-over at Sugar Mountain, its popularity and influence has since grown immensely, turning into a standalone collaborative festival that year-on-year has created unforgettable moments in Australia’s underground electronic scene.

Tickets to Boiler Room x Sugar Mountain 10 go on sale from 10am AEDT on Thursday, November 7th, with the lineup expected to arrive soon.
