US rock legends The Strokes have announced a pair of very special headline shows for Australia next year - marking their first in over a decade for Aus fans.

Hitting our shores in 2022 for the annual Splendour In The Grass festival, the New York five piece will be celebrating 25 years since their initial formation, which has led to a string of hits such as You Only Live Once, Last Nite, Reptilia, and even more up to their 2020 release The New Abnormal.

The group will hit Melbourne's John Cain Arena and Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on 26 and 28 July respectively, following their Splendour slot on 23 July. The band are set to be joined by pub rock sensations The Chats and NSW psychedelia outfit The Lazy Eyes for the performances.

Tickets for the events are on sale from 9am next Tuesday, 09 November, with a special fan presale hitting the web from 12pm the day before. For all the info, head to theGuide.
