See in the new year the right way with Glenworth Valley's acclaimed annual year-ending event
The Glenworth Valley is set to ring in 2017 in style, with this year's Lost Paradise festival line-up announcement boasting a broad and brilliant spread of acts with whom punters will usher in the new year, led by Sticky Fingers, Flight Facilities, Gang Of Youths and stalwart Kiwi imports Fat Freddy's Drop.
Sticky Fingers will hit the Lost Paradise stage hot on the heels of their eagerly awaited new album, Westway (The Glitter & The Slums), as well as a comprehensively dominant past couple of years, which have seen them ride consistent waves of hype to become international sellouts of the best kind. Flight Facilities, meanwhile, have had a slightly more low-key schedule this year than in 2015 — itself buoyed by the phenomenal success of the previous year's debut full-length, Down To Earth — but nonetheless remain a commanding presence and significant drawcard for the festival.
Gang Of Youths, meanwhile, have just got done putting out new EP Let Me Be Clear — the follow-up to their wildly lauded debut LP The Positions — and smashing it out of the park at Splendour, while Fat Freddy's Drop come to us well-and-truly established as a live force with which to be reckoned; they'll touch down boasting material from newest release Bays (2015) as well as from throughout their 15-year career to keep Aussie audiences keen and kinetically charged.
Also taking over Lost Paradise's festival grounds from 29-31 December will be Hudson Mohawke, Big Scary, Skream, Harts, Montaigne, Motez, Methyl Ethel, Young Franco, Bad//Dreems, Dro Carey, Set Mo, The Belligerents, NO ZU, Luke Million, MOSSY, Mosquito Coast, Wild Honey and more. There'll also be DJ sets from the likes of Hot Chip and Kolsch for good measure, as well as further live acts yet to be announced.
