The upstart soul six-piece have three dates lined up in addition to their festival slot
Alabama-bred soul sextet St Paul & The Broken Bones are so jazzed about coming to Australia for Byron Bay Bluesfest that they're boosting their Aussie commitments with a trio of standalone headline sideshows up the east coast in March, proudly presented by The Music.
Getting under way in Sydney, at the Metro Theatre, on Monday 21 March, St Paul & The Broken Bones will cover the usual bases, heading down to Melbourne to perform at the Corner Hotel on Thursday 24 March, but they're also throwing Queenslanders a bone, hitting up The Triffid, in Brisbane, for a headline appearance on Friday 25 March.
Though only formed in 2012, the acclaimed outfit already have a pair of EPs and a debut full-length — last year's Half The City — to their name, with work moving solidly ahead on their eagerly awaited follow-up effort. March's sojourn should find the band in high spirits and fine form, riding high on the solidly upward momentum thrust underneath them by way of international touring and festival spots and good, old-fashioned elbow grease over the course of the past 18-24 months.
If you're keen (and of course you are), you can get in position to take a crack at tickets for St Paul & The Broken Bones' 2016 sideshows from 9am (AEDT) this Thursday, 29 October, via Bluesfest Touring.
