Springtime Unveils Its Entire Program Ahead Of Next Month's Event

Springtime Festival, Surfer’s Paradise’s 100% free music, skating and art event, returns in September with a line-up led by headliners Bag Raiders (performing a DJ set), New Zealand’s Benee and Matt Corby.

If the music line-up – which we’ll re-explore soon – wasn’t impressive enough, Springtime has unveiled its entire program ahead of its start date of 1 September.

Starting at 1 pm on Friday, 1 September, Gold Coast locals Jesse Noonan, 22-year-old Nixen Osborne and at just 17 years old, Newcastle local Rome Collyer will host skate demos at the event’s newly established Vans Skate Plaza. Inexperienced skaters are also invited to get involved.

The Vans team said in a statement, “Vans couldn’t be more excited to be teaming up with SPRINGTIME festival this year! We want this to be a place for self-expression and creativity, so come hang out and showcase your skills alongside some of Vans best riders!”

Music is highlighted across all three days of Springtime Festival (1-3 September), with the Sunshine & Disco Faith Choir getting the crowd warmed up on day two before Benee takes the stage.

Day one finds QMAs People’s Choice Award winner Sycco, Boo Seeka and Bag Raiders bring the tunes on Surfer’s Paradise. The most stacked day of music is the Sunday, with Bella Amor, Eliza & The Delusionals, Babe Rainbow and Matt Corby sending music fans home happy after a packed weekend of entertainment.

“We can’t believe it’s less than a month now until we bring in spring with a bang, at the second annual SPRINGTIME,” Festival Director Mark Duckworth said in a statement. “The 2023 program is really going to shine a spotlight on the range of musical talent we have here in Australia and right in our backyard on the Gold Coast. We’re also pumped to welcome the incredible BENEE to the SPRINGTIME Beach Stage from New Zealand.”
