"Flying the flag of indie rock is a dream come true.”
After its successful debut in Queensland, Aussie alt rock festival Spring Loaded will return this year and travel around the country.
Originally set to kick off last June before COVID restrictions halted plans, the festival will now go ahead throughout June to November with stops confirmed in Sydney, Cairns, Bribie Island, Adelaide, Darwin, Gosford, Wollongong, Perth and Victoria.
Spring Loaded will again feature an all-Aussie line-up including Grinspoon, You Am I, Regurgitator, Jebediah, Magic Dirt, Frenzal Rhomb, Custard, The Fauves, The Meanies, Tumbleweed, Screamfeeder and Caligula, with Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall to host.
“Having been at various Big Day Out's and Homebake's over the years, it is a massive buzz for us to produce Spring Loaded," Empire Touring's Marc Christowski said.
"Bringing together such an amazing lineup that will go to every corner of the country, flying the flag of indie rock is a dream come true.”

Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson added, "I’m terribly excited to be playin’ with Grinspoon at Spring Loaded.
"Since Fire Fight we have barely stepped onto stage, let alone seen each other.”
Tickets for all shows go on sale from 10am local time on Wednesday 24 March.
