The promoters behind two of Australia's best known festival brands will host their own showcase party at industry conference South By South West later this month.
Splendour In The Grass and The Falls Festival – both of which promoting duo Paul Piticco and Jessica Ducrou are involved in – are set to host a mix of international and Australian bands at the Austin, Texas, event.
Taking place at Austin's Holy Mountain Wednesday 12 March from 12pm to 5pm, Australians Gossling and Dune Rats join Americans Skaters, Basecamp, De Lux, Drowners and Tor Miller, Britain's Chlöe Howl, Royal Blood, Wolf Alice and Jetta and Canadian lass Lowell. Entry is free.
The showcase sits alongside the annual Australian BBQ and the Chugg Music 50th anniversary event as another Australian-leaning showcase and is further evidence of the importance of the Australian contingent.
Once again a number of Australian artists were invited to showcase at SXSW, including The Preatures, Gang Of Youths, Boy & Bear, Vance Joy and more.
