It's back!

Spicks & Specks made its return last night and it's already proving to be a hit.

The much-loved ABC music quiz has made its official comeback last night with original host Adam Hills and team captains Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough last night after first wrapping up in 2011.

According to TV Tonight, the Spicks & Specks season return has proven very popular drawing in an impressive 665,000 viewers despite being up against Nine's Married At First Sight season final.

Spicks & Specks has secured its place as the fourth most popular program of the evening and second most popular entertainment show, behind Married At First Sight at #1 with 1,398,000, Seven News with 1,038,000 and Nine News Sunday with 1,021,000.

It was followed by 60 Minutes (647,000 viewers), ABC News Sunday (622,000) and the return of Dancing With The Stars (621,000).

Spicks & Specks originally ran from 2005-2011. It was then relaunched in 2014 with Josh Earl as host, joined by Ella Hooper and Adam Richard as team captains and ran for a limited season. The original line-up reunited for a one-off special in 2018 and then a run of four shows in 2019 and 2020.

It was announced in November last year that the show would return for a limited run with it later revealed that 10 episodes would be included.

"Some people made banana bread in lockdown. We made a new series of Spicks & Specks," said Hills when the show's official return was announced

"Not only did it give us all an excuse to get out of the house, it gave us a chance to showcase a new breed of Australian musicians and comedians, while also catching up with some old favourites.

"I'm so proud of the shows we made last year, and I can't wait for the rest of Australia to see them."

This season is set to include a stack of special guests including The Teskey Brothers, Alice Skye, G-Flip, Vika & Linda, Missy Higgins, Frank Woodley, Anne Edmonds, Nazeem Hussain, Luke McGregor, Dave O’Neil and Denise Scott.

Spicks & Specks returns next Sunday night on ABC.
