If you snoozed, you lost

The imminent annual Southbound festival in Western Australia has proven such a popular prospect for 2016 that the event has sold out of three-day camping tickets only days out from the event.

"We are tracking for another incredible Southbound in 2016," event director David Chitty said in a statement. "The team have been working hard setting up the new additional shaded areas and the Big Top to ensure patrons are super-comfortable on-site this year. The weather is looking great and the artists are ready to go!"

Although the opportunity for three-day passes has passed, two-day tickets to the festival are still available, which features the likes of the Wombats, Bloc Party, Foals, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Halsey and more alongside a crop of local faves including King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Birds Of Tokyo, Gang Of Youths, Seth Sentry, Little May, among others.

It's not just quality live music on tap at the event however, with Southbound's Silent Auction set to raise funds for local arts projects within the industry — this year's charity is The Song Room — with items up for grabs including a signed Southbound 2016 guitar, signed framed Southbound 2016 poster and gold deluxe event package for two.
