The South Australian town of Beachport in South Australia will welcome the inaugural Outlet Music Festival to its sleepy surrounds this Boxing Day, it has been announced, marking the second new South Australian festival to be scheduled for the state in less than a week.
After the community rallied around a Facebook page called “Let’s get a Boxing Day Music Festival In Beachport”, Cement Events and local venue the Beachport Hotel collaborated to pull together the very first December 26 event, which is described in a statement as an 18+, full-day event with the express aim of marking Beachport’s place on the Australian festival circuit while providing rising local acts the chance to rub shoulders with high-profile performers from around the country.
The festival’s first line-up announcement is due early next month, but if you are just keen as hell for some Boxing Day revelry regardless of the soundtrack, early-bird tickets will be made available from 10am this Monday, July 28, via the Outlet Music Festival Facebook page or directly from Moshtix.
