South Australia To Host New Music Festival 'Garage Days' In 2027

The inaugural Garage Days Festival includes performances by Spiderbait, Jebediah, The Potbelleez, and more.

A new music festival is being introduced in February 2027, and it’s heading to South Australia.

The soundtrack of Australia’s ‘90s and early 2000s music will come to life with the launch of Garage Days Festival. The brand-new summer event is hosting some of the country’s most loved rock, indie, and alternative acts for a one-day-only extravaganza.

Headlined by one of Australia’s most enduring rock bands, Spiderbait, the line-up also features alternative rockers Jebediah, electropop party-starters The Potbelleez, powerhouse rock group Gyroscope, Melbourne rising stars The Delta Riggs, and local favourites The Lizards.

The inaugural festival takes over Richard Hamilton Wines in McLaren Vale, South Australia, on Saturday, 6 February, from 3 pm to 10 pm.

Garage Days Festival showcases the songs, bands, and memories that defined a generation and soundtracked young Aussies’ lives, set against the beautiful vineyards of McLaren Vale.

For its inaugural run, Garage Days will feature Adelaide MC JAKIJ, who’s ready to keep the party going throughout the day with hosting duties and getting behind the decks as a DJ between sets. Booked as an all-ages event, patrons under 18 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

Event organisers note the importance of all-ages festivals, sharing: “With increasingly limited opportunities for young people to experience live music in this kind of setting, Garage Days gives a new generation a chance to discover the bands and songs that shaped their parents' teenage years, and for families to share the experience together.”

Festival Director Sam Rose said of the inaugural event, “There’s something about the music of the late ’90s and early 2000s that instantly takes you somewhere. These are songs people grew up with, went out to, fell in love to and probably still know every word to.

“Garage Days is about bringing those memories back but doing it in a beautiful setting with great food, wine and an incredible live line-up. We also wanted to create something that families could enjoy together — where parents can share the music they loved with their kids, and a younger generation can discover these incredible Australian bands live.”
