Snoop Dogg & 'Broad City' Star Set To Roast Bieber

11 March 2015 | 2:18 pm | Staff Writer

The Comedy Central special will air exclusively on Foxtel's The Comedy Channel on 31 March

Hip hop mogul Snoop Dogg and cult-favourite comedian/Broad City star Hannibal Buress are among the celebrities lined up to skewer pop dilettante Justin Bieber for Comedy Central's forthcoming roast, due to air later this month on The Comedy Channel.

Screening express from the US at 8.30pm on Tuesday, 31 March, Bieber's episode of Comedy Central Roast will be hosted by renowned stand-up Kevin Hart alongside bane-of-roastees-everywhere Jeffery Ross, with high-profile faces including comedian and actor Chris D'Elia, actress Natasha Leggero, rap luminary Ludacris, '90s basketball superstar Shaquille O'Neal, and businesswoman/TV personality-turned-convicted-felon Martha Stewart all lined up to take their shots, with more to be announced.

You're all already aware of who Snoop is, but, for our money, it's Buress who piques the most interest aboard the line-up, ascendant as he is off the back of his work on Broad City as well as his stand-up material, the strength of which has just landed him his own solo Comedy Central show, Why? With Hannibal Buress. If you're not yet across why Buress is one of the most buzzworthy comics getting about — aside from being the man who infamously re-opened the Bill Cosby can of worms — check out this video below to see why his contributions alone are almost guaranteed to make tuning in worth it.

You're welcome.

Bieber will actually be the first musician to have his own episode of Comedy Central Roast since Flavor Flav was tied to the spit back in 2007, with James Franco being the show's most recent target, back in 2013. Other celebs to have gone under the harsh spotlight of peer-based criticism include Pamela Anderson, William Shatner, Bob Saget, the late Joan Rivers, David Hassellhoff and Donald Trump.

Tune into The Comedy Channel at 8.30pm on Tuesday, 31 March, to catch Comedy Central Roast: Justin Bieber, exclusively on Foxtel.
