Snoop Dogg AFL Grand Final Rehearsal Leaks

A pair of lucky hip-hop fans caught Snoop Dogg’s AFL Grand Final rehearsal from their window, sharing the footage on TikTok ahead of his headline performance today.

“Since you enjoyed my last video… here is the actual moment my 19-year-old hip-hop loving son looks out the window to see his idol rehearsing at Marvel Stadium for the Grand Final entertainment and game at MCG in Melbourne,” wrote Mum From Down Under on TikTok.

In the footage, the rapper is seen on stage with a large crew of performers, including a full brass band, a marching band, and dancers. While the video has sound, it’s difficult to hear what song is actually being rehearsed. Nonetheless, it’s a cool clip you can watch below.

On Wednesday (24 September), Mum From Down Under shared a clip of Snoop Dogg rehearsing for today’s headline performance, which she spotted from her accommodation. You can watch both videos below.

The AFL Grand Final entertainment will begin before the game takes place today, at approximately 1:30 pm AEST.

Australian singer Vera Blue will perform the National Anthem, Mike Brady will salute retiring legends with his signature footy anthems, and Baker Boy will perform with a choir of Indigenous artists, including Emma Donovan and Kee’ahn.

For his headline performance, Snoop Dogg will be joined by special guests Baker Boy and Tash Sultana, the latter of whom is expected to unleash some wicked guitar playing.

After the pre-game entertainment takes place, the Grand Final—featuring Victorian team, the Geelong Cats, and Queensland rivals, the Brisbane Lions—will kick off at 2:30 pm AEST.

Upon the AFL confirming his performance at this year’s Grand Final, Snoop Dogg said, “It’s an absolute honour to be hitting the stage at the AFL Grand Final — it’s one of the biggest events on the Aussie calendar. Can’t wait to bring the energy and celebrate with the fans. Let’s make it unforgettable.”

AFL CEO Andrew Dillon added, “Snoop Dogg is a pioneer, a performer, and a true entertainer. He’s played to packed stadiums around the world — but we think 100,000 fans at the MCG might just be his most iconic crowd yet.”
