Where will you be today?
The 2013 SLAM Day is now go as small venues across the country gear up for afternoon and evening gigs.
The live music awareness campaign was launched on the back of the historic SLAM Rally in 2010, where 20,000 live music supporters took to the streets of Melbourne. Ironically, the lead up to this year's annual event has been flavoured by struggling venues, which has highlighted the cause.
There are as many as 300 gigs happening around Australia today, and you can see them all here. Get down to one of them, smile at a stranger, stand right up the front of the stage for an opening band and enjoy the experience that we know only live music can provide.
SLAM Day has also started a fundraising campaign to ensure it's here to stay. You can get involved for as little as $10 here.
