More Skegss More Skegss

The Skegss legends are back today with their first new music since 2018's debut.

Titled, Save It For The Weekend, the track is an "anthem for those who long for Friday night to come".

It comes with a Gogglebox-style video where the band watch a Max Max/Western-inspired clip "starring some actors who look suspiciously like themselves".

Save It For The Weekend is the band's first release with US label Loma Vista Recordings who also feature the likes of Denzel Curry, St Vincent and Marilyn Manson on their roster.

"After falling in love with their music from afar, I caught their headlining sets at Laneway this past February. The guys just seem like people I would hang out with and surf with back in California," Loma Vista label head, Ryan Whalley, said back in August.

"So we hit it off right away. But in addition to the hang and the top-level team around them, it was their talent in record making and how they ignite thousands of fans at their shows that convinced us Skegss were a band we needed to work with around the world. It was a no brainer."

The signing saw Skegss re-release their 2018 debut album, My Own Mess, internationally on 23 August. Their music, including Save It For The Weekend, will be distributed in Australia via Caroline Australia.

Before heading to the US for a headline run in November, Skegss will play Yours & Owls and Stonefest this October. They'll also play Good Things across the country in December.
