Grammy-nominated Tibetan musician Tenzin Choegyal is set to release his collaboration with Aussie icons Matt Corby and Rohin Jones from classic indie folk band, The Middle East, tomorrow. But, in an exclusive for The Music, we have the single and corresponding visualiser for you today.
The track, titled Snow Flower, is a beautifully poignant release, written as an exploration of life’s impermanence. With lyrics like, ‘Snow flower, when you land in the hand, where are you gone?’, sung by Choegyal in Tibetan, the song encourages listeners to embrace the fleetingness of life.
Snow Flower is intentionally played at 432Hz—a frequency known for reducing anxiety and lowering the heart rate. Choegyal’s dranyen lute, Corby’s Moog One synth, and Jones' acoustic stylings all make an appearance in the track too, as well as some contributions from acclaimed songwriter Alex Henriksson.
Snow Flower is the title track of Choegyal, Corby, and Jones’ upcoming collaborative album - slated for release on April 4, 2025. You can find the single below.
In a press release, Choegyal described how much he enjoyed making the album: “Matt and Alex welcomed me into the warm embrace of the Rainbow Valley Records family, handing me a blank musical canvas to craft a collaborative record, infused with my Tibetan nomadic lineage and wisdom.
“Alongside Rohin Jones from The Middle East, we have created Snow Flower, a vibrant celebration of sound, spirit, and meditation, drawing from diverse genres that intertwine. This collaboration captures the rhythm of our shared journey and the deep passion that unites us through music.”

The feeling was clearly mutual, as Corby also had nothing but high praise for his collaborator, saying, “Tenzin is one in a billion. He walks a different path to the rest of us.”
He continued, “Working on this record was one of the great experiences of my creative life. The motivation behind what Tenzin creates goes beyond modern music and its societal reasoning. This album is as functional as it is beautiful. A guide to our every day but also a score to unearth true and pure life moments.”
