Aussie hit-maker Sia has announced on twitter today that she will be releasing a new album in May, 2014.

But don't get too excited if you want to see more of the artist in the public spotlight, she's not planning on backing the record up with any touring or any further promotion, just releasing it into the world for fans to devour.

The Australian born and bred artist is now based in Los Angeles and has had a mammoth few years following the release of her last album, 2010's We Are Born, penning songs for the likes of Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, David Guetta and Eminem to name but a few.

Furler stopped touring back in 2010 after suffering from poor health, which she later revealed to be Graves Disease.
