She'll soon share a stage with Johnny Depp and Wu Tang Clan
Melbourne songwriter Shelley Segal has announced two Australian farewell shows ahead of her move to the US, where she will soon share a stage with Johnny Depp and Wu Tang Clan.
Segal's permanent move across the Pacific follows nine Stateside tours and the opening of her record label, True Music, in the US.
"I have been building my fanbase all over the US — across 25 states and am excited to now be based there and to be closer to my fans," she said.
Once on American soil, Segal will be performing at the renowned Reason Rally in Washington DC — a renowned secularism rally with speakers such as Bill Nye and Margaret Cho.

"This rally celebrates a sense of solidarity that calls more to the cause of pushing back against discriminatory policy and lets Americans and the government know that we are here," she said. "I am so proud to be a part of that."
The talented songstress has also landed a US publishing deal with LA-based publishing house, 411 Music Group, which boasts syncs with television shows on HBO, MTV and Netflix.
Segal will play Club Redfern in Sydney on 20 May, and a sold out show at Paris Cat in Melbourne on 21 May.
