Could it be possible?
Sex Pistols legend John Lydon has addressed rumours he will represent Ireland at next year's Eurovision and his response has only encouraged the speculation.
When asked about the rumours while appearing on Irish radio progamme, Today FM's The Paul McLoone Show, the revered frontman curiously didn't deny the talk.
"As rumours go, that’s a beaut," Lydon laughed.
"Nothing’s been signed. Just like the Bible, Jesus has yet to put His signature to it. So it’s a rumour.

"But as rumours go, I’m fully qualified, aren’t I, as an American-English-Irishman. Perfect. Well travelled, well seasoned, up and at it, ready."
McLoone returned to the Eurovision rumours towards the end of the interview, given Lydon's interesting response, but the 61-year-old again gave nothing away.
"Listen, that's my favourite rumour of probably my whole life," he said.
"It's hilarious and it's bound to confuse a whole bunch of peoples, but surely that's the point isn't it? You know, expect the unexpected.
"If I did such a thing, I can tell you it will be great if done."
