"Issues out of our control"
American rock outfit Sevendust have told fans that they will not be making the trip to Australia for Soundwave, with the touring festival kicking off next month.
In a statement to fans the band write, “Due to issues out of our control, we regrettably must pull out of Soundwave 2014. We apologize to our Australian fans and hope to find a way in the near future to make the trip.”
Late last year the band launched a crowdfunding campaign for an acoustic album, which, as it turns out, was a popular move to their fanbase.
Their latest record, Black Out The Sun, was released last year.

AJ Maddah has responded to questions on the cancellation on Twitter, hinting that the "issues" were financial-related. See the exchange below:
@scottymcgrottee So was I. They contacted us yesterday asking for more money again and we had to draw the line somewhere.

@tazz1973 @scottymcgrottee Yep. They confirmed and then yesterday said you either give us a lot more money or we'll cancel.
