More Alex Lahey More Alex Lahey

Melburnian singer/songwriter Alex Lahey has been on fire recently (someone get a fire extinguisher) and she's showing no signs of stopping yet.

Off the back of a recent global publishing deal with Native Tongue, winning the Josh Pyke Partnership and grant money as part of Creative Victoria's Quick Response program, the triple j Unearthed competition to open Splendour In The Grass 2016 and signing to Select Music, Lahey has now penned a deal with seminal US booking agency APA.

Bruce Solar and Joan Lee at APA are responsible for touring the likes of Modest Mouse, Dolly Parton and Brian Wilson, and are stoked to add Lahey to their roster.

Solar says, "When we initially heard Alex’s music, the storytelling songwriting and melodic guitar riffs hit us hard, and we knew immediately that she is a very special artist."

Lahey's equally stoked with her new booking agency, stating, "I couldn't be happier to welcome Bruce, Joan, and the APA family to our team.

"Touring the Americas is a lifelong dream of mine and I genuinely feel I am in more than capable hands with Bruce and his passionate team to help my songs and live show reach a broader audience in those territories."

Lahey's already got her hands full with her first headline tour this month, a handful of showcases at BIGSOUND this week and a festival season booked up with slots at Maroochy, Sounds Of The Suburbs, The Plot, Beyond The Valley and Rottofest.
