They're bringing out a 'SuperGalactaphonic' reissue and tour
'90s stoner rockers Tumbleweed won't let the 20 year anniversary of 1995's Galactaphonic pass them by — they're planning to go full-on, all-out, SuperGalactaphonic on you.
Debuting at #6 when it was released, Galactaphonic's success allowed the band to grace Hey Hey It's Saturday, Andrew Denton as well as rock for six weeks on the ARIA charts. Now that it's 20 years old, the band are taking the album out for a national run (sans Brisbane) and reissuing the album as SuperGalactaphonic 20 with a set of the original tracks, nine B-sides, seven unreleased live tracks and five demos, altogether bringing the offering up to an all-encompassing 34 tracks.
The SuperGalactaphonic 20 tour will hit Melbourne's Corner Hotel first on Friday, 21 August, before the lads take a break and head to Sydney on Friday, 11 September. From there, they'll head to Perth, Adelaide and Wollongong, wrapping up the tour on Saturday, 26 September.
The 20th Anniversary celebrations will also continue with the release in August of a Galactaphonic vinyl for the very first time in Australia.
