The pride and joy of Brisbane’s alt-rock scene, Selfish Sons, have announced a national tour, in support of their newly-released EP, What A Beautiful Waste of Time.
The brotherly trio will be hitting key cities along Australia’s east coast come late February. They’ll kick off the tour in Adelaide on February 27, before playing a two night stint at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on February 28 and March 1. Brisbane itself is set to be the highlight of the tour, with Selfish Sons playing in their hometown on March 7. Closing out the tour will be the Harbour City, with the trio performing at Sydney’s Factory Theatre on March 8.
They’ll be joined by South Sydney sweethearts Sesame Girl for the entirety of the tour, with more supports to be announced later on. Tickets for every show are on sale now, via Live Nation.

This isn’t Selfish Sons’ first rodeo when it comes to promoting their EP - just last month, the trio threw an intimate pop-up event in Brisbane, welcoming over 100 fans throughout the day for a one-of-a-kind experience. Punters had the chance to create personalised pieces with exclusive designs inspired by the EP, making each item a unique keepsake.
The event also featured custom live screen printing, curated nail art, limited-edition merchandise, refreshments, and, of course, a live performance from the Selfish Sons themselves. Needless to say, this band knows how to throw an event.
“We’ve spent the last year in the States, so being back home and sharing this moment with our fans in Brisbane was so special,” they wrote in a press release. “Hearing everyone sing along to tracks we just released was surreal. This event wasn’t just about the music, it was about connecting with everyone who has been part of our journey.”
And during Selfish Sons’ “long overdue” upcoming tour, those connections are sure to grow. Don’t miss it.
