A police officer even got bitten

Boutique electronic festival Listen Out kicked off over the weekend in Melbourne and Perth, but it seems it wasn't all smooth sailing with Perth's event yesterday reportedly mobbed by nearly 200 punters attempting to jump the fence into the festival grounds. Three police officers were also assaulted.

As News Limited reports, WA Police said HBF Arena was "overrun" by fence-jumpers around 3.20pm, with festival security straining to keep them all out.

He said six police cars were sent out to "keep the peace" after punters threw rocks at paying patrons. Someone even bit a police officer.

Two men, 23 and 22 years old, and two women, 22 and 20 years old, were charged with assaulting a public officer and disorderly conduct.
