The annual Queensland Savannah In The Round festival has announced it will become the first ever live music event in the country to have its own vaccination hub upon the premises.
Fans will be able to receive their first or second vaccine dose on the grounds of the festival, all while enjoying the live entertainment.
Running from 8am until 4pm this Friday, the Pop-Up Covid Clinic will be free to all patrons who wish to utilise its resources.
“Creating a festival in the middle of a pandemic is no easy task, but vaccination is the key to freedom," festival director James Dein explained.
"We’re pleased to partner with Queensland Health to make it easy for those who choose to roll up their sleeves."
Dein continued, “We have worked hard for over two years now on ensuring our COVID plan is best practice, and while we’re proud of the event we’ll be delivering to the Tropical North this weekend, we are urging our patrons to join us in getting the jab so that normal life can be just around the corner."
The event - which is set to host the likes of Troy Cassar-Daley, Sneaky Sound System, John Butler, Busby Marou and stacks more - will take over Kerribee Park Rodeo Grounds for the upcoming long weekend, where huge crowds are expected to take part.
