Sam Smith will share an exclusive performance for this year's ARIA Awards

The UK artist will perform at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London, which will then be shared as part of this year's ceremony. 

"Australia has always held such a special place in my heart, and I am so honoured to be a part of this year's ARIA Awards!" said Smith. 

"I'll be crossing live from London with a very special performance for you all. I can’t wait to see you soon! - Sam x"

The announcement comes just a day after US artist Billie Eilish was also confirmed for this year's awards. 

This year's awards will take place on 25 November at The Star Event Centre in Sydney and will be broadcast across the Nine Network and YouTube. 

It was announced yesterday that Delta Goodrem will host the event, with Keith Urban, Tones & I, Tim Minchin, Briggs, INXS, Brooke Boney, Christine Anu, Guy Sebastian, Hamish Blake, Joel Creasey, Richard Wilkins, Sophie Monk and Tuma Basa & A$AP Ferg all confirmed as presenters. 

This year's nominees include Lime Cordiale, Sampa The Great, Tame Impala, DMA'S, Miiesha, Ruel, Violent Soho and more. See the full list of nominees here and click here for more details on this year's event.
