Sam Fischer has announced an east coast headlining tour in support of his debut album – last year’s I Love You, Please Don’t Hate Me – with one hell of a weekender lined up for next month.

The trio of back-to-back shows will start in Brisbane (Meanjin) on Thursday May 9, with Fischer set to take the stage at The Zoo. Immediately following that will be an intimate gig at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney (Eora), before Fischer wraps things up at Howler in Melbourne (Naarm).

Tickets for all three shows are on sale now – find them here.

This tour marks the first time Fischer will perform for hometown crowds since he released I Love You, Please Don’t Hate Me at the start of last December. He famously cut his teeth in Sydney before breaking out as an international R&B star, now based between LA and London.

He’s been crushing it, too, regularly packing theatres and wowing crowds at some of the world’s biggest festivals. To that end, the album has already racked up nearly a billion streams on Spotify alone (it currently sits in the ballpark of 896 million), thanks in no short part to the smash-hit success of the singles This City (which on its own has drawn more than 620 million streams) and What Other People Say (a collaborative effort with Demi Lovato).

Since the album’s release, Fischer has kept busy with some more huge collaborations: February saw him link up with Guy Sebastian for a guest spot on his track Antidote, and just last month he joined Toby Romeo for the single Shine.
