The husband and wife composing powerhouse that is acclaimed singer-songwriter Sally Seltmann and former Avalanches member Darren Seltmann are among today’s 2016 Screen Music Awards nominees.
The Seltmanns score praise for their tune Dancing In The Darkness, picked up the ABC’s The Letdown in 2015, and are joined by prolific Melbourne muso David Bridie, who has scored two nominations.
Bridie is up for Best Music For A Documentary for his efforts on Putuparri And The Rainmakers and Best Music For A Mini-Series Or Telemovie for his contributions on Foxtel’s six-part Secret City.
Little River Band’s David Hirschfelder is up for the top prize of Feature Film Score Of The Year for 2015’s comedy-drama The Dressmaker, while Cameron Bruce is up nominated for Best Original Song with When You Were On The Run from Stan’s original series No Activity.

The annual Screen Music Awards will be held on 8 November at Sydney's City Recital Hall, with The Chaser comics Chris Taylor and Andrew Hansen returning to host the event.
