A big congratulations are in order for five lucky Australian acts that have taken out round two of Music NSW’s 2017 Opportunity Development Grants.
House pop group duo Kinder, psytrance artist Yummy Tunes, banjo trio Swamp Fat Jangles, house musician Sondrio and five-piece Easy Street have all nabbed themselves some the grant to put towards their professional development.
Each grant allowed artists and artist managers to apply for funding up to $850 per member of touring parties, covering the costs of flights and accommodation.
The Opportunity Development Grant's are a Music NSW initiative, aimed at artists and artist managers to get them out to domestic tours, trade fairs and industry conferences whilst also attending career defining opportunities like the Electronic Music Conference, Face The Music and more.
