The Sydney event is earning a global reputation for its quirky canine theme

Like films? Like dogs? Then you need to check out the 2016 Good Dog! International Film Festival, which has just released $10 tickets for outdoor screenings on 2 & 3 Dec.

Now in its 6th year, the annual event held at Joynton Park in Sydney, celebrates all things canine on screen. This year’s line-up features animated and live action films — all featuring dogs — from the US, Australia, Canada, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Estonia, Spain, Ireland, Peru, Portugal and Sweden.

As you’d expect, your lovable four-legged friends are also welcome at the Festival and in addition to film screenings there will also be day and night markets catering to both human and dog tastes, presented by Green Square Markets Paws Day Out and Festival sponsor PETStock.

The Festival’s unusual theme has caught the eye of film pundits around the globe, with US industry magazine MovieMaker including the Good Dog! Film Fest among its top ten “outside the box” events in the world. Thanks to its growing reputation, organisers hope to tour the event nationally from 2017 and internationally from 2018.
