Making friends in the global market.

Remote Control Records have today announced a brand new partnership with Omnian Music Group.

Remote Control’s roster of Australian artists on their Dot Dash label will now be released and distributed in the US via Omnian and similarly, Remote Control will oversee album releases of Omnian’s labels in Australia.

Omnian releases will continue to still be distributed in Australia by Rocket.

Commenting on the new partnership Remote Control director Harvey Saward said, “We've put a lot of effort into building the roster in the last few years.  We are great believers in Australian music and it's been exciting to see several Australian artists sign to overseas labels in recent years and start to forge successful international careers.”

“However, for every great Australian band that attracts the interest of an overseas label there'll be another 10 that miss out. We really believe that a strong sustainable Australian music scene needs some local labels that can have a presence and compete internationally. It's just baby steps for Dot Dash in the US at this point but it’s so great to have Omnian's support in getting things rolling."

Thanks to the new partnership, Dot Dash’s current roster which includes the likes of Methyl Ethel, Pearls, Sunbeam Sound Machine, Sui Zhen among many more are set to garner some new exposure in the US.
