Release Date For New Delta Goodrem Film 'Love Is In The Air' Revealed

We’re getting closer to the spring of Delta Goodrem. Earlier this month, she released the sunny, uplifting single, Back To Your Heart – her first new music since her #1 ARIA charting album, Bridge Over Troubled Dreams, was released in 2021.

Back To Your Heart is no winter song – there’s no darkness on the 80s-synth pop-inspired track, only vibrancy. Adding to the excitement around new music, Goodrem is also returning to film.

Delta Goodrem has a leading role in the new Netflix romantic comedy movie. Set in Airlie Beach, Love Is In The Air stars Goodrem falling in love with a man set on destroying her business, played by Joshua Sasse.

The official synopsis reads, “This rom-com stars Aussie golden girl Delta Goodrem as a seaplane pilot who finds herself reluctantly falling for a man who’s slowly sinking her business. Filmed in Airlie Beach, if Delta doesn’t make you swoon, the stunning backdrop of Queensland’s Whitsundays certainly will.”

Love Is In The Air premieres on Netflix on Thursday, 28 September.

“We have a date!!! Love Is In The Air, our new movie comes out September 28th on Netflix,” Goodrem wrote on Instagram on Tuesday (22 August). “Can’t wait for you to see this one”.

Deadline reports that the film was shot with 8K Vista Vision technology. Love Is In The Air was directed by Adrian Powers and was co-produced by Jaggi Entertainment. As well as Goodrem and Sasse, the film also stars Roy Billing and Steph Tisdell.

In addition to a new single and film, Goodrem has started her own independent label, ATLED Records.

While we don’t know too much about the record label yet, we do know that Goodrem started ATLED due to a “changing landscape, evolving with the times, learning and seeing how you can continue to be creative and share creativity with your community and people who are part of the journey with you in the arts,” she said on a recent Sunrise appearance.

In a social media statement, she added, “I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude towards the incredible community that has supported me for over two decades. But times have changed, and so have I. It’s a new era, new world, with endless possibilities - so I created a new home for my music. Welcome to ATLED Records.”

Delta Goodrem will tour this September and October in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Innocent Eyes. All but one date – the Sydney Coliseum Theatre – are sold out. You can find all the tour dates below.
