Regurgitator have announced UNITS, a hometown carnival of music curated by the band in honour of their iconic 1997 album, Unit

The album will be played in full, in all its pixelated glory, along with an extended set of hits next month in Brisbane. Joining Regurgitator in on the fun are DZ Deathrays, Custard, Butterfingers, Resin Dogs, and Screamfeeder, along with Models and more, taking place across two stages with no clashes. Get down to Eaton's Hill Outdoors & Ballroom for the celebrations on Saturday, 25 March.

The pre-sale begins this Thursday, 9 February, at 9 am local time - sign up here for early access. The general tickets on sale starts on Friday, 10 February, also at 9 am local time, via Oztix.

Warner Music Australia has also released a 25th-anniversary edition of Unit on "egg yolk swirl vinyl."

Unit was recorded in an abandoned Fortitude Valley warehouse as demolishers waited outside. 

The band's second album debuted at #5 on the ARIA Albums Chart, is certified triple Platinum in Australia and won a total of five categories at the 1998 ARIA awards, including Best Alternative Album.

The album contains their hit singles, ! (The Song Formerly Known As), Everyday Formula, Polyester Girl and Black Bugs - all making the Triple J Hottest 100 in 1998 at #6, #10, #26 and #32, respectively. In addition, their top streamed track, ! (The Song Formerly Known As) was nominated for the 1998 ARIA Award for Single Of The Year and Best Video.

In October, Regurgitator embarked on the Drivetime tour, which saw the iconic Aussie indie rockers playing a run of headline shows, as well as making festival appearances at Good Things Festival, Spring Loaded, and the Wave Rock Weekender. The band were also booked to support Midnight Oil in Busselton.

The headline shows saw them play in Airlie Beach, Adelaide, Canberra, Margaret River, Perth and Townsville. 

The band also shared the news that the entire tour will be carbon offset, stating that "This Drivetime tour will aim for a low carbon footprint, energy efficiency, be carbon offset, and utilise hybrid tour vehicles where available."
