Ratking is back with Binge and Burn, an explosive track exploring the tension between pleasure and self-destruction, a turmoil that extends far beyond a single night out.

“The track kind of taps into the chaos and recklessness of losing yourself, not just with drinking, but with any vice or escape,” says Ratking’s Tom Wilson. “Those times where you’re on the edge of control, spiralling between fun and self-destruction.

“Less of a glorification, more a reflection of the push and pull between indulgence and consequence. The writing was definitely inspired by those nights drinking where the line between freedom and self-sabotage blurred.” 

Recorded and engineered by Wilson in its entirety, the track boasts mixing duties from Cam Murphy, and comes accompanied by a Mark Reeves-directed music video.

Binge And Burn marks the next chapter in their relentless evolution—cementing their place in Australian hardcore punk and proving their unwavering commitment to the grind.

Fresh of the sharing the stage with Alien Ant Farm and Drowning Pool, the band continues to carve their path with relentless energy and electrifying performances. Having toured across Indonesia, the USA, South Korea, and recently returning from their second Japan tour, Ratking has shared stages with heavyweights like Comeback Kid, Wavves, Suicidal Tendencies, and more.

Their discography showcases their raw and unfiltered sound, blending aggressive political ideologies with self-reflective truths.

Ratking will also be celebrating the release of Binge And Burn with a hometown single launch at The Bird in Perth on March 22nd. They’ll be supported by No Future, Crosscheck, and Raw Dog for a night which is described as offering up “Perth hardcore at its finest”. Tickets to the single launch are on sale now.
