The ceremony takes place at the end of next month
The nominees for this year's Queensland Music Awards have been revealed, along with entertainment program for next month's ceremony.
Starting with the nominees list and there are a handful of artists who've scored a couple of different noms, including dance wunderkind The Kite String Tangle, alternative country-rock collective Halfway, indie-pop favourites The John Steel Singers, indigenous outfit King Social and emerging singer-songwriter Sahara Beck. Breakout 2014 act Sheppard, thrash duo DZ Deathrays, local veterans The Grates and metalcore heavyweights The Amity Affliction are also nominated in their respective genre categories. In terms of the night's entertainment, several nominated acts will perform including Halfway, Sahara Beck and Airling, as well as Blank Realm, MKO, Tjupurru & The Bulldawadda and a special collaboration performance from acclaimed singer-songwriter Katie Noonan and rising electronic producer cln.
The awards will take place at Brisbane Powerhouse Theatre on 30 Mar and will be hosted by triple j presenter Sarah Howells and Aussie hip hop veteran Rival MC, otherwise known as Fred Leone.

Music fans will also be able to cast their vote in a couple of Most Popular categories, including Most Popular Female/Male and Most Popular Group. First round voting for these public categories opens next Monday, 23 Feb and more info can be found via the Queensland Music Awards website.
