"As a business, it was a great outcome, and memory to be able to present a contemporary arts program supporting around 500 artists in a year of COVID restrictions and within a COVID safe event plan. We received positive community feedback about our program about presenting such a diverse program in a safe environment over 11 days."

"The whole experience was stunningly successful. Brought a uniform smile to an already united street. Appealed to everyone, from 3 to 93. It also gives me a thrill to see faces of artists I know in the videos. That did indeed make a real difference to real people, and I hope it is the first of many.” - Donald B, resident.

"There were many, but the most breathtaking memory was of local indie-folk duo The Dreggs performing on the rocks at Point Cartwright with spectacular footage captured by drone of the surrounding landscape – the crashing ocean, sparkling rock pools and dramatic cliff faces. It was a race against time to film that day as the rising tide approached their instruments towards the end of their set."

"Every year it's a highlight for many people in Qld/Brisbane. My favourite memory personally was meeting Arno Faraji pre-festival at Blute's Bar. He was so excited to be there, so humble and it was his first festival in Qld. And that's what MGVC brings is an experience and allows a holistic feeling where you get a whole festival but across different bars that each have their own flair/vibe, and I think that really represents Brisbane's nightlife."

WOODFORD FOLK FESTIVAL

"A toss-up between the remarkable job that the Fire Event crew did to deliver one of the most meaningful and celebratory closing ceremonies we'd ever had, featuring giant puppets built in an international partnership, one of the best bands out of Eastern Europe, our volunteer Fire Choir and Orchestra and the emergency services, including the Rural Fire Brigade, in the middle of the Australian bushfires; or - the one time we had to move the Amphitheatre show to the Grande, in the beginning of what became the Queensland floods, and Uncle Noel was so overcome by the welcome from the crowd that he stopped his own Welcome midway through and just yelled 'Woodford! Woodford! Woodford!' and then brought The Cat Empire on stage. Or just my annual favourite - looking at everyone's soft, beautiful, reflective, candle-lit faces during the Silence just before they break into full-tilt partying."

"The best festival memory has been the daily pilgrimage up the Yonder hill to collectively share the setting of the sun with the incredible artists and performers scheduled alongside these moments."
