QLD Police Service Trolls Nickelback For Christmas

This is how you remind us of how cops can be fun

More Nickelback Nickelback Profile

If the Queensland Police Service is to be believed, there is nothing like a last-minute Nickelback jab to finish a year on a high note.

Taking full advantage of the silly season, QPS' social media team — who, it must be said, are a simply exemplary force in online organisational engagement — alerted followers to their receipt of a "suspicious package" early this afternoon, though panic had no time to set in as the offending item was apparently quickly, and understandably, destroyed soon after arrival.

It probably goes without saying, but revellers can surely party safely into the new year knowing that such a vigilant, decisive force is out to protect and serve. Good show, officers. We salute you.
