Primus Drummer Suffers Another Heart Attack

“It can happen at any moment, and remember IT WILL HAPPEN ONE DAY so tell the people in your life you love them."

More Primus Primus

Primus drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander has suffered his second heart attack, following on from stint in hospital in 2014 that saw that band cancel shows.

The member of the iconic act underwent open-heart surgery for a triple bypass almost exactly two years ago, and has now taken to Instagram to report on the recent incident as he recovers at home.

"I was overwhelmed with sadness, not because of the fact that I could die but that I would have to say goodbye to my family,” Alexander said.

“It can happen at any moment, and remember IT WILL HAPPEN ONE DAY so tell the people in your life you love them.

“Enjoy the days you have with them, they are limited. We are all here for a short time.”

Alexander has played with the veteran alt act on-and-off-again since 1989, and appeared on their most recent LP, 2014’s Primus & The Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble.
