PREMIERE: The Cat Empire Return With New Video

One of Australia's favourite genre-mashing collectives, The Cat Empire are back in the headlines in 2013.

Last month the Melbourne band launched their brand new single Brighter Than Gold, which is the first cut from their fifth album, which will be released mid-year. Set to be released on their own label Two Shoes Records (through Inertia) it will also be the band's first truly independent global release.

Brighter Than Gold premiered at the St Kilda Festival earlier this year, and those carnivalesque vibes continue through to the video, which you can watch here and below:
