If you are based in Sydney or Melbourne, you had your first chance to see the new band born from the ashes of King Cannons, The Spirit, live in action last weekend. If you missed out then we are pleased to be able to bring you a little taste of what former King Cannons members Luke Yeoward and Mikey Ting have been up to with their mates Phoebe Neilson and Ryan Mano with the premiere of the film clip for their song Forever Gone.
The band are on a bit of a '70s Americana trip, it's all very lush with some soaring melodies that will make you stand to attention. There's a little less grit than what was established with King Cannons, but if this song is anything to go by then the songwriting hasn't dulled.
There will be more gigs forthcoming and the band have finished up their debut EP, which will see the light of day before too long. So, for now, enjoy the clip and get ready to hear plenty more from the band in the future.
