Post-Punk Upstarts DEN Sign With Rice Is Nice

Hear the band's new single 'Poltergeist'

Emergent Sydney four-piece DEN are yet to release their debut EP but they're already making quite the impact ahead of their maiden performance at BIGSOUND next month, becoming the latest act to sign with illustrious indie label Rice Is Nice.

The signing sees the up-and-comers join an eclectic existing cabal of acts that includes the likes of Darts, Donny Benet, Richard In Your Mind, SPOD, Seekae, Straight Arrows, Us The Band and more, and comes in the wake of abrasive new single Poltergeist, the first taste to come from the group's forthcoming extended player.

Before their EP's release, however, punters have several opportunities to catch the band in action, starting with this Sunday's King Street Crawl at The Union Newtown in Sydney. The following week, they play thrice in Brisbane during BIGSOUND — first at the Rice Is Nice V Spunk Pre-BIGSOUND Party on Tuesday 6 September at Black Bear Lodge, then twice more during the event, on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday night.

DEN will release their debut EP through Rice Is Nice on Friday 11 November. For more information about the band or to keep tabs on their upcoming projects and movements, see their Facebook page.
