South Australian music-lovers have much to look forward to this winter.

For example, looming in the near future is a major two-day musical extravaganza, kicking off on May 31st, known as Porch and Recreation. This all-ages festival, put together for the first time by local creative upstarts Porch Records, will feature a remarkable program of international, national, and local artists.

Porch and Recreation is slated to take place at the iconic Burnside ballroom. And though some of the major headlining acts were already revealed earlier this month, the full mouthwatering line-up has finally been unveiled.

Headlining the festival will be UK DJ duo Mount Kimbie on Sunday, June 1st. May 31st will see a set Naarm/Melbourne’s groovy cinematic upstarts Surprise Chef.

Other acts include ARIA-nominated legendary indigenous singer-songwriter Emma Donovan and alt-indie darling Grace Cummings.

On Instagram, the official Porch Records account referred to the upcoming festival as “one of our greatest adventures yet,” promising that the all-ages two-day event will be “beyond special.”

Tickets are available to purchase online now - and if you are keen, you better get in quick, as those early releases have been selling like hot potatoes.
