"I am beyond excited to be coming to Australia for these gigs and sharing the stage with Leo."
British pop icons Leo Sayer and Lulu will be bringing a brand new joint tour to our shores this year, the idea birthed last year when Lulu went to see Sayer perform in London.
67-year-old Sayer — an Australian citizen since 2009 — will bring '70s mega-hits like You Make Me Feel Like Dancing and When I Need You to our stages, while Lulu will showcase similarly legendary songs like The Boat I Row and Let's Pretend.
Lulu says of the pairing, "I am beyond excited to be coming to Australia for these gigs and sharing the stage with Leo. Leo Sayer is musically the real deal so bring it on I can’t wait," while Sayer added, "Lulu was already an icon when I came on the scene and I've been a huge fan ever since. We're good pals and I can't wait to welcome her to Australia."
The Leo & Lulu tour kicks off in Sydney on 23 June, before heading to Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth until 3 July.
