Pond Sell Out Melbourne, Add Two More Shows To Tour

One in Melbourne, one in Byron Bay

More Pond Pond

Perth's psychedelic rockers Pond are absolutely killing it, the band selling out their Melbourne album tour date at the Corner Hotel, adding two more shows for good measure – another at the Corner and one in Byron Bay.

With three of the bands three members doubling between Pond and Tame Impala, the former were initially recognised as the latter's offshoot, however, Pond have created quite a name for themselves in their own right.

Their fifth and most recent record, Hobo Rocket, was released in August to positive reviews and the 5-piece are set to play celebratory album tours across the country this December, unveiling an extra show at Byron Bay's The Northern on Sunday 15 December and The Corner Hotel in Melbourne on Wednesday 18 December just before the recently sold-out gig at the same venue the following night.

They will be joined by mates Doctopus on the tour, with local supports to be announced for all shows in the next few weeks.

Never an act to slow down, last week Pond also completed the recording of their sixth LP, Man It Feels Like Space Again and they have a new video set to be released in the near future.

Additionally, the act were been recognised with multiple WAM nominations, including Rock Album of the Year, Group of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album/EP of the Year – check out the full list of noms.

The entire Hobo Rocket Tour is detailed on theGuide.
